My Branding Process
This is the process that I conduct
You don’t always have to do everything to get your product or service sold.
OVERVIEW
The Challenge
My process in developing a website or an app for a client is the process of UX – user experience (see image below). Now you can do everything in the UX Process and this will help achieve the right flow and connection for your customers, but depending on your budget factor, time-frame and who’s involved with the project – the process can be streamlined. The image below is missing the important stakeholder's meeting - where you understand their needs and sometimes receive a brief with details about the project, but most of the times you are taking a lot of notes. A key note is to make sure you have the contact email/phone of the stakeholder that can answer your questions as the process occurs.

Emapathy = Persona

Emapathy
Once your stakeholders meeting is over – you begin to understand what the pain points are of their customers to resolve the issue. I begin with Empathy, it is to understand and share the feelings of another person, but from their view of reference – to place yourself in someone else’s shoes. Below is an image example of how to begin this process.
Research Persona Development
It is always good to know who your customers are and what their pain points are. Solving them is the key to success for your product or service. The image above is from one of my favorite UX/UI websites called UXPIN.com - they created a nice “how-to” guide that I recommend called “the practical guide to empathy maps creating a 10 minute persona” – check it out and learn more.
Understanding to Action
Getting to the goal for my client is the sale of your product or service. The method to getting to the sale - is understanding the customer’s needs. Does your product or service help this potential customer solve their problem(s). But once you have the sale – we must create a great customer service experience, so this new customer will come back again – it needs to be part of your plan.
SKETCHES / MIND MAPPING

Sketches and Mind Mapping
When you get involved with a Start Up that has a mind set to create a Mobile First project – you go through a lot of pages of paper coming up with ideas that makes sense. I also, used XMIND 8 for mind mapping – to show my ideas and share the concept with the client - the above image was just one example of many created.
USER FLOW / SITE MAP
User Flow and Site Map
This is a Start Up Company project, so I could not reveal all the details of this project online without a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for everyone who visits my site. There is a ton of work with all the details for each screen for this app – it was a lot of work. I used the Axure RP Pro to map out the user flow. I used www.gloomaps.com for a simple site map.
WIREFRAMES

Wireframing
The wireframing has the visual flow that was needed to figure out where the details would fit. The wireframing flow above is some of the first stages to the concept. I used the Balsamiq program to create all the mobile wireframing concepts.
BRANDING / STYLE GUIDE
Branding and Style Guide
I created the Brand, Logo and style guide for the Start Up Company. There are more comprehensive and details for this project, but I kept it limited for my portfolio – until a future date where the company allows me to add more details. I developed the logo with Photoshop and the style guide for the brand.
HIGH FIDELITY DESIGN
Design and Content
The design structure, formatting of the pages and content was created by me – but the WordPress template and database was from a 3rd party vendor. The client did not have any idea of the specifics for this project, so I had to research and create the content with goal to have visitors buy online and visit the vendor’s local business. This project is still in the testing stages, but can be viewed online.
